New Delhi: An Egyptian kebab shop owner in New Zealand has become an internet hit after a video of him ignoring an armed robber and continuing to serve a customer went viral on social media.

 

In the viral video, Said Ahmed is seen ignoring the masked robber who leaves the eatery store without looting the owner. One customer who waits to collect his packed meal is seen terrified and escapes the restaurant after collecting it from Ahmed.

 

Ahmed and the robber have a conversation in between which is not audible to any of us.



 

Canterbury Police released CCTV footage of the incident on Facebook last week in a bid to identify the robber. The 27-second clip has attracted lakhs of views and has been shared by thousands.

 

Ahmed, 55, reportedly said he was only thinking of his family and thought walking away would avoid a more serious outcome.

 

"I'm not a hero but, you know, I controlled my reaction.Quite lucky because that reaction come to my head in that moment," he said.
