New Delhi: Shardiya Navratri will begin on September 26, 2022. During Navratri, devotees will worship nine incarnations of Goddess Durga for nine days. People perform Kalash sthapna at their houses on the first day of Navratri, and various preparations are done for it. Durga Puja, Kalash sthapna, and other rituals need a range of items.

Shardiya Navratri 2022: Ghatasthapana

Ghatasthapana/ Kalash sthapana is an important ceremony during Navratri. It signifies the commencement of a nine-day celebration. Our scriptures have clearly stated norms and guidelines for doing Ghatasthapana within a certain time period at the beginning of Navratri. Ghatasthapana is an invocation of Goddess Shakti, and performing it at the incorrect moment, as our scriptures warn, may anger Goddess Shakti. Ghatasthapana is forbidden during Amavasya and at night.

The most auspicious or Shubh muhurat to do Ghatasthapana is in the first one-third of the day, when Pratipada is dominant. If this period is not accessible for any reason, Ghatasthapana can be performed at Abhijit Muhurta. It is recommended to avoid Nakshatra Chitra and Vaidhriti Yoga during Ghatasthapana, although these practises are not forbidden. The most important factor here, is that Ghatasthapana is performed before Hindu noon when Pratipada is in effect.

Shardiya Navratri 2022: Abhijit Muhurat

Abhijit Muhurat is an auspicious hour at midday that lasts roughly 48 minutes. Abhijit Muhurat is capable of eradicating several Doshas and is regarded as one of the greatest Muhurats for beginning all types of auspicious tasks. Abhijit Muhurat is a strong election that may be used for day-to-day living tasks without becoming bogged down in the complexities of locating an appropriate Muhurat for the day.

During the Abhijit Muhurat, Lord Shiva is said to have destroyed the demon Tripurasur. Furthermore, Lord Vishnu blesses Abhijit Muhurat by destroying numerous Doshas with His Sudarshan Chakra during the duration of this Muhurat.
