Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon took center stage as Manish Malhotra transformed Varanasi’s Namo Ghat into a fashion runway during the two-day event hosted by the Indian Minorities Foundation that aimed to elevate Varanasi's rich handicrafts and handlooms onto the global stage. At the event, the two actors showcased Manish's collection named Banarasi Saree, a dynamic representation of Indian culture and artisanal skill.

As Ranveer walked down the runway against the stunning backdrop of Namo Ghat, he was dressed in a magnificent purple and gold brocade outfit. The intricate Banarasi weave into his attire not only showcased the textile history of Banaras but also represented the seamless fusion of tradition and modernity. With his innate style and magnetic personality, Ranveer Singh breathed new life into the age-old Banarasi weaves, infusing them with glamour and allure.

On the other hand, Kriti Sanon oozed elegance in a red bridal lehenga. Her outfit comprised a red choli, paired with a skirt with golden borders. The choli also had beautiful gold motifs all over and she wore her dupatta like a veil. To accessorise her look, Kriti opted for a maang tika, small earrings, bangles and strings of flowers hanging from them.

Taking about the fashion show, Ranveer Singh told ANI, "The event was amazing. I was talking to the other models backstage that we have walked in many fashion shows but this is once in a lifetime opportunity. Walking on the banks of river Ganga felt a million times better than walking in Mumbai’s 5-star banquet."

Kriti also spoke about wearing a Banarasi piece by Manish Malhotra again after having worn it whilereceiving the national award and told ANI, "It was always in my mind that i wanted to wear something handwowen, that shows off our heritage and culture. It was the biggest chance of my life, the most important moment of my life, to go to the Vigyan Bhawan and receive the award from president maam so it should have been something that shows off our Bharat, so a Banarasi saree is very important to our Vikas and Virasat so Manish had only designed that Banarasi Saree and now today at this show in Banaras, in Kashi wearing this outfit..."

Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon's visit to Kashi ignited an unprecedented excitement among fans as the Bollywood superstars made their way to the sacred Kashi Vishwanath temple for blessings, prior to the event. Kriti radiated elegance in a yellow kurta-pyjama set, while Ranveer chose a crisp white kurta. In addition to them, Manish Malhotra was also seen at the temple premises in a pink kurta.
