ABP The Southern Rising Summit: Rana Daggubati, a well-known actor and entrepreneur, took the stage as a featured speaker at ABP Network's 'The Southern Rising Summit' in Chennai on October 12th. The event, moderated by the acclaimed author Chetan Bhagat, focused on the theme 'So Many Cinemas: Celebrating India's Diversity.'

The two of them discussed about Artificial Intelligence, VFx and a lot more interesting things which play an important role in the film industry. They also went to discuss about the way actors put on weight for certain roles and then shed those extra kilos, yet manage to remain fit in both where Daggubati made some really interesting revelations.

As the conversation flowed, Chetan Bhagat told Daggubati that in 'Bahubali' he was in the 120kg range while in the present day he is in the 90 kilo range-  yet fit in both and went on to ask about the way people today are obsessed about the scale and think that fitness is all about losing weight.

To this Rana said, "Honestly, I am not a very fit guy and I was never so all my life. The movies make you do that, because you got to look like somebody else and when I am not shooting, I don't even train most times. But, what happens is, there are films like Bahubali that push you to the extreme. So, I am not really the right guy to give fitness advise. I just look the part and I keep myself fit enough to look like anybody that I want to play."

"Hence, do not follow my routines, do not do what I do, because it's really unhealthy sometimes, but that's the fun," he added.

Talking about unhealthy things and eating Biryani, he said, "I live in Hyderabad. So, obviously I eat Biryani. I eat Biryani like thrice a week or something."

Rana then went on to talk about how he balances work and life saying, "Most of my work is play, my wife is also an artist- she does designs and there are things that we do together. So, its not really a job, its my lifestyle and she enjoys part of that lifestyle and there's enough time for both of us. What's marriage done for me is that it has made me a more balanced human being otherwise, I can just keep flying around and move with the wind. But, now there is some sense of belongingness."
