New Delhi: People planning to visit Siddhivinayak Temple for Angaraki Chaturthi must book online and get a QR code. As per the new restrictions, no offline darshan will be allowed that day without pre-issued QR codes. The timings of the darshan is between 8 am and 9 pm.
Although no decision has been taken on how many people will be allowed in at a time, the restriction is imposed considering the growing number of Covid-19 case in Maharashtra.

Falling on a the Angaraki Chaturthi is really important to followers of Lord Ganesha and a huge number gather to the Siddhivinayak Temple to pay their respects.
Mumbai has seen a spike in the number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the last 24 hours. According to Maharashtra health department, the city recorded 1,167 new cases of the infection while the number stood at 8,807 for the state on Wednesday taking the the total number of infected people to 21,21,119. The latest spike in cases have come after two days of tapering in the numbers in both Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra. On Tuesday, 643 fresh Covid cases were recorded in Mumbai and 6,218 in the state. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray has warned that if people continue to be careless another lockdown will be imposed.
