New Delhi: When 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', a crime drama starring Alia Bhatt, premiered earlier this year, it sparked a great deal of hype. In addition to the plot, Bhatt's performance and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's seamless direction were praised extensively on the internet.

People all across the world are still influenced by the Gangubai biopic, which is about a powerful brothel boss. The internet is in awe of this representation of her look in a white saree and red rose in her hair.

After the biopic's release, people began to imitate Alia Bhatt's iconic style, but it appears that Gangubai's fame has crossed borders. Recently, models walked the ramp at a Malaysian fashion show donning a look inspired by the protagonist of Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Many models from Malaysia's Northern Haute Couture Fashion Show could be seen on the runway while clad in Gangubai outfits probably inspired by the Bollywood film.

They wore red roses in their hair buns, were dressed in white dresses, and sported black retro sunglasses. Anyone who sees the outfit is instantly reminded of Alia's character.

Miss Star Malaysia 2023, Kash Bhullar, posted the images from the fashion show in Instagram with a one-liner from the film as a caption. "Izzat se jeena ka, kisi se darne ka nahi,” (Don't be afraid of anyone; keep your head high) the caption read.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. It was based on one of the chapters in the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by author Hussain Zaidi.

In addition to Alia Bhatt, other prominent actors who starred in it included Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, and Seema Pahwa.
