New Delhi: Miss Argentina 2020 Mariana Varela and Miss Puerto Rico 2020 Fabiola Valentin are now officially married. The beauty pageant winners were allegedly in a secretive relationship for the last two years. The couple reportedly tied the knot on October 28, 2022 and recently announced their marriage. Argentina and Puerto Rico legalized same-sex marriage in 2015 and 2010.
Taking to their Instagram account, they wrote, "After choosing to keep our relationship private, we open our doors to a special day. 28/10/22.”
Both also shared a video of their relationship up until the marriage along with the post. The video showcased their relationship together over the years and the special moments like the proposal etc.
Soon after they shared the post, congratulatory messages for both began to pour in. "Congratulations to both of you. MGIO always supports “LOVE” without boundaries," a post on Miss Grand International's Instagram profile said. The two first met at Miss Grand International 2020 beauty pageant and began dating soon thereafter.
Varela has represented Argentina in the 2019 Miss Universe contest and was also among the Top 10 finalists at Miss Grand International pageant in 2020. Besides this, she had also worked on different initiatives including battling gender violence.
Valentin, on the other hand, works with the modeling agency 'Major' in New York. She had also made it to the top 10 at the Miss Grand International 2020.
