At Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai, veteran actress Zeenat Aman drew notice when she returned to the runway for fashion designer Shahin Mannan. Social media is awash with videos and photos of her from the fashion show. Fans commended her for fearlessly strolling the runway and flashing her silver hair as the showstopper.
Zeenat moves towards the centre stage in a statement outfit in a video released on the fashion week's official Instagram account. She was dressed in a red and black abstract-printed jacket top with black pants. She accessorised with black sunglasses and showed off her grey hair.
In response to her presence, an admirer said, "Such a heartwarming moment." "Legend," wrote another. While many people said "wow" when they saw the experienced actress's confidence as she walked the runway, one person added, "Amazing."
"I started my career as a model and have walked on numerous runways throughout the years," Zeenat told News18. "It's fantastic to be doing it again, this time for older ladies. Others may argue I've come full circle, which fits in well with Shahin's philosophy. I like Shahin's eccentric designs and trusted her to create a distinctive appearance for me."
Zeenat began her career as a model. She rose to prominence after competing in beauty pageants such as Femina Miss and Miss Asia Pacific International in 1970. She was just 19 years old. She debuted in films the same year, with The Evil Within (1970), Hulchul (1971), and Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971) serving as her early accomplishments.
Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973), Hum Kisise Kum Naheen (1977), Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978), Don (1978), Qurbani (1980), Dostana (1980), Laawaris (1981), and Hum Se Hai Zamana are among her finest works (1983). She was most recently seen in a cameo appearance in Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama Panipat (2019). She will soon make her OTT debut with Showsttopper, a series about the forbidden issue of lingerie fitting. Zeenat joined Instagram last month and has since been well-known for her posts and photos, which frequently win the hearts of her followers.
