Lady Gaga, known for making a show-stopping fashion statement on the Oscars red carpet every year, arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California for Oscars 2023 in a striking Versace gown with a sheer corset bodice and a dropped waistline that dipped below her backside, sending fashion enthusiasts and shutterbugs into a frenzy.

If that wasn't enough to keep our attention, the diva went back to simplicity in a no-makeup and T-shirt and jeans look for a performance of "Hold My Hand" at the 95th Academy Awards in Hollywood.

Since then, videos and pictures from the event have gone viral, and we are completely smitten. Lady Gaga was seen and captured on the red carpet wearing a gorgeous Versace gown with long sheer sleeves, a see-through corset bodice, a floor-length skirt, and a crystal-embellished belt over her hips.

While her tattoos were visible in the mesh top, the skirt featured a lowered waistline and plunged daringly below her rear. The outfit was first worn by supermodel Gigi Hadid at Versace's latest Fall/Winter 2023 runway show in Los Angeles.

The artist glammed up her outfit with Tiffany & Co jewellery, including a platinum-and-diamond necklace from the 1950s, and a dab of glossy red lipstick and smoky eye makeup. Her hair was fashioned in a slicked-back updo.

This was in marked contradiction to her natural laid-back demeanour onstage, where she captivated the crowd with her emotionally honest rendition of Hold My Hand, a Top Gun: Maverick tune nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Music Composed for Motion Pictures (Original Song). Lady Gaga wore a black T-shirt over torn jeans, finished her ensemble with shoes, and went makeup-free while tying back her locks into a French braid.

She was originally not planned to perform "Hold My Hand" during the Oscars 2023 event owing to a scheduling issue with her involvement in the Joker sequel, Folie à Deux, but a last-minute confirmation was made hours before the ceremony. Though she did not win the award this year, being recognised by the Academy for the fourth time was a sight for sore fashion eyes.
