As the summer heat rises, our desire for a cool and satisfying treat grows stronger. While ice cream is often the centre of attention, the world of frozen desserts has a plethora of options to satisfy one's cravings. Taste Atlas, a well-known online food guide, has revealed its list of the best-rated frozen desserts from around the world in a delightful post for dessert lovers. Seeing Indian kulfi and Kulfi falooda recognised as top-rated frozen delicacies on a global scale was a source of pride among the diverse range of options.

Kulfi is an Indian ice cream famous for its rich and creamy texture. It has won the hearts of dessert lovers all over the world, rising to 14th place. Kulfi Falooda is also made up of Kulfi, vermicelli noodles, rose syrup, dry fruits, and various other toppings. It is also ranked 30th on the list.

Kulfi is believed to have originated in the 16th century Mughal Empire. Mughal chefs were inspired to add aromatic spices like saffron and pistachios to the mix, resulting in a uniquely flavorful treat. They packed the dessert into metal cones and frozen it in a mixture of ice and salt to preserve and transport it to warmer regions. Kulfi was born as a result of this novel method.

Meanwhile, Iran's Bastani Sonnati took the top in Taste Atlas' best-rated frozen desserts. Peru's Queso Helado, Turkey's Dondurma, the United States' Frozen Custard, Filipino ice cream Sorbetes, and the iconic Italian dessert Gelato al Pistachio also made the list.
