You must have tasted store bought rice crisps many times. Today we are telling you how to make rice crisp at home. The important thing is that you can store them for a long time. Know the recipe of crunchy rice crisps.


Ingredients for Rice crisp



  • 1 Cup Rice Flour 

  • 3 tbsp maida 

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 tsp kasuri methi

  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli 

  • salt to taste 

  • Oil to fry


Rice Crisp Recipe



  • To make dough, firstly take 1 cup of water and heat it. 

  • Add cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon of oil and salt to water and heat till it comes to a boil. 

  • Now switch off the gas and add 1 cup of rice flour to water and mix well. 

  • Cover the mixture and leave it for 5 minutes. Rice flour will absorb all the water and plump up.

  • Now add red chili powder and little kasuri methi crushed with hands. 

  • As long as the mixture is warm, keep on adding little oil and knead well into a dough 

  • Rice flour is ready. Now pinch small balls from the dough.

  • Now sprinkle dry flour on all the balls and roll it out thinly in a circular shape. 

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry all the crisps one by one until crispy. While frying, keep the flame medium high. 

  • When all the crisps are fried, sprinkle a little chaat masala (spice mix) over it. Crunchy rice crisps are ready. 

  • After cooling, store them in an air tight container. 

  • You can enjoy these crunchy rice crisps with a steaming cup of 'chai'
