India celebrates its Republic Day on January 26 every year with full fervour and gusto. The Republic Day marks the sovereign republic's official independence from the British Rule. marks the completion of India's transition towards becoming an independent republic after its constitution came into effect. To mark the big day, the government hosts various cultural events displaying national pride. The festivities embody the essence of diversity found in one of the world's most populous nations. While the day has its significance on many levels, most Indians wait for 26th January every year to enjoy the grand celebration at the Rajpath in the capital city of New Delhi and especially the Republic Day Parade.
