New Delhi: The nine-day-long festival of Chaitra Navratri will begin from Saturday (April 2). The festival is dedicated to Goddess Durga and celebrated with full fervour across the country. The auspicious days of Chaitra Navratri will commence from April 2 and continue till April 11.

On these days, devotees worship the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga, and the puja rituals vary on each of these days.   The nine incarnations include Maa Shailputri, Brahmaachaareenee, Chandraghanta, Kushmaanda, Skandmaata, Kaatyaayeenee, Kaalraatree, Mahagauri, and Sidhidaatree. Out of the four Navratri celebrations, Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri are more significant.
