Ganpati Sthapana 2022: Ganesh Chaturthi Puja Date, Tithi And Muhurta

Ganpati Bappa is all set to arrive at your homes and temples, know the date, tithi, muhurta, and significance for this year's Ganpati Sthapana.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi marks the anniversary of Lord Ganesh's birth. Lord Ganesh is revered as the god of knowledge, wealth, and fortune in the Hindu religion. As per the Hindu scriptures, Lord Ganesh was born on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of Shukla Paksha in the Bhadrapada month. The day of Ganesh Chaturthi typically falls in the English calendar months of August or September.

The celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, known as Ganeshotsav, concludes on Anant Chaturdashi, commonly referred to as Ganesh Visarjan Day, after ten days. After a grand street procession on Anant Chaturdashi, worshipers submerge the statue of Lord Ganesh in a water body.

Ganpati Sthapana 2022 Puja Muhrata

Since Lord Ganesh is thought to have been born at Madhyahna Kala, Ganesh Puja is preferred during this time. According to the Hindu day division, Madhyahna Kala is equivalent to noon.

According to Hindu timekeeping, the period of time from dawn to sunset is divided into five equally long segments. Pratahkala, Sangava, Madhyahna, Aparahna, and Sayankal are the names of these five parts.

On Ganesha Chaturthi, Ganapati Sthapana and Ganapati Puja are performed during the Madhyahna period of the day, which is regarded by Vedic astrology as the most suitable time for Ganesha Puja.

During midday, Ganesha devotees perform detailed ritualistic Ganesha Puja, known as Shodashopachara Ganapati Puja.

Significance Of Ganeshotsav

According to popular Hindu belief, Lord Ganesha spends 10 days on earth starting on the Chaturthi of the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada to the Chaturdarshi date of the month. On Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesh is installed in pandals and homes.

It is said that these days, the person who sits at home and worships Ganesha with a sincere heart achieves stress-free life, prosperity and happiness.
