Ganesh Chaturthi 2021: The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi starts from the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. The festival ends with Lord Ganesha's farewell on the day of Anant Chaturdashi which will be celebrated on September 19.


During this period Lord Ganesha is worshipped with people establishing the statue of diety at home. Among all the deities, Lord Ganesha is worshipped first before the start of any work. Hence devotees offer Lord Ganesha offerings to please him and seek blessings.


Ganesh Chaturthi 2021: Shubh Muhurat


The Muhurat for Ganesh Pujan will start at 12:17 pm and will continue till 10 pm. Devotees can worship by establishing the idol of Lord Ganesha during this period. At the time of worship, devotees must chant the mantra 'Om Ganpatye Namah'.


Ganpati Visarjan: According to Panchang, the immersion of the Ganesha idol will take place on September 19, 2021. On this day devotees bid farewell to Bappa and this marks the end of the festival until next year.


Ways to please Lord Ganesha



  • To please Shri Ganesha, take bath every morning and offer five durva to Shri Ganesha. Keep in mind that this durva should be placed on the head of Shri Ganesh Ji. While offering durva, say this mantra: 'Idam Durvadaalam Om Ganpatye Namah'.

  • Ganeshji likes modak It is said in Ganapati Atharvaveda that for those who offer modak, their wishes are fulfilled and Ganapati ji blesses them.

  • Offer ghee to Lord Ganesha and light a ghee lamp in front of him.
