New Delhi: This year's Met Gala, which was held on May 1, included a slew of renowned Indian names putting their best fashion foot forward. This year's event, held on the first Monday of May, paid tribute to designer Karl Lagerfeld. Some of the top personalities from the fashion and entertainment industry dressed up and graced the red carpet. From Alia Bhatt to Priyanka Chopra and Isha Ambani, the red carpet indeed had an Indian touch. In addition to them, Diya Mehta Jatia, Shloka Mehta's sister was also there to represent India.

Diya, a fashion consultant and influencer, chose a green and black combination by Prabal Gurung for the occasion. Sharing her pictures on Instagram, she captioned her photos from the famous gala, saying, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty. At the Met Gala 2023, celebrating the legacy of a man who defined fashion and style as we know today."


She also wrote how she felt honoured to represent her heritage on a global platform. "For me, fashion is all about breaking barriers and blending cultures and today seemed the perfect way to do that! I’m honoured to represent my heritage on this global platform by adding a touch of India to this stunning Prabal Gurung outfit. An unforgettable night of glamour, fashion, and art awaits!"

All About Diya's Outfit:


Despite the fact that she did not walk the red carpet, Diya turned heads with her magnificent dress as she looked stunning in a black and green satin gown with a halter neckline and neat pleats at the waist. She accessorized the look with small earrings and tied her hair in a neat braid adorning it with a beautiful ornament and the Hindu deities Radha-Krishna were engraved on the diamond-studded ornament. To complete her look, she wore light makeup comprising light brown lipstick, kajal and contoured cheeks. 


This year's theme at MET Gala paid tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
