Actor Dia Mirza continues to inspire with her insightful messages. In her latest Instagram post, she shed light on the significance of embracing a plant-based diet as a way to contribute to the well-being of our planet. The Bollywood diva believes in the power of "ghar ka khana" (home-cooked food) and emphasised the positive impact of including leafy greens, lentils, and cereals in our diets.


In a video shared on her Instagram, Dia Mirza showcased her homemade meal for the day, which consisted of bhindi (ladyfinger), palak (spinach) daal, minced gobhi (cauliflower), and roti. Alongside the video, she expressed her concerns about the rising global temperatures and emphasised that every individual can take action against climate change. She suggested adopting a mostly plant-based diet as one of the ways to make a difference at an individual level and help mitigate the effects of climate change.

Mirza, 41, said in the accompanying video, "I love ghar ka khana." Hazy green lentils and cereals are extremely beneficial to human nutrition and health. And also good for the environment."

She urged everyone to eat seasonal and locally sourced fruits and vegetables, as they contribute not only to personal health but also to the health of the planet.
