At a time when the country is in the grip of the pandemic, it seems people are still not taking the second wave of this deadly virus seriously forcing the Delhi Police to register a case against a couple for a shameful act in the national capital.


The video that has gone viral on social media shows a couple in the national capital misbehaving with the officials for not following anti-Covid rules and violating the weekend curfew in the capital.

A viral clip shows the unmasked woman and her partner misbehaving with the police personnel after they were intervened for not wearing masks inside their car. The woman can be seen screaming at the top of her voice also saying to the policeman, "I will kiss my husband. Can you stop me?". The shocking incident took place in the Daryaganj area at around 4 pm on Sunday.



"Why did you stop my car? I was inside my car with my wife," the man could be heard telling the policemen when he was checked for not wearing a mask The woman continued arguing with the policeman even after he pointed out about a recent High Court ruling which made it compulsory to wear a mask even one person is inside a car.


According to police, the couple was not wearing a face mask and didn’t have a curfew pass, as per the agency. 


Even as she claimed to be a daughter of the police, she ended up acting insane while breaking the rules of the curfew.


On being reprimanded and asked for challan, she screamed at the policeman saying "Why are they doing such drama under the garb of Coronavirus and asking for challan and behaving like a beggar."


The duo also went on to the extent of threatening the policeman to take action against them. Later the woman was taken to the nearest police station.


Meanwhile, Delhi will be under lockdown from tonight to next Monday morning amid a record rise in cases. CM Kejriwal said that the lockdown period will be used to arrange more beds and oxygen for Covid patients.


Delhi on Sunday recorded the biggest jump in its daily Covid-19 tally with 25,462 fresh cases, and 161 people died due to the disease in the last 24 hours, while the positivity rate also shot up to 29.74 percent.


Around 20,159 people have recovered from the infection. There are a total of 74,941 active cases in the national capital and the death toll jumped to 12,121.
