Millet flour is a gluten-free, versatile, and nutritious substitute for wheat flour. It is made by grinding millet grains such as pearl millet, finger millet, and foxtail millet. Millets are a hardy crop that can be grown in a variety of climates, making them an environmentally friendly and sustainable option. Millet flour is high in protein, fibre, and vitamins. It is also gluten-free, making it an excellent choice for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease.

It provides an alternative for people who want to avoid wheat-based products while still enjoying a variety of culinary options. Millet flour has a slightly nutty and earthy flavour that can be used to enhance baked goods, bread, pancakes, and other recipes. Because of its distinct texture, it is frequently combined with other gluten-free flours to improve the final product's structure and moisture content.

The International Year of Millets was declared during the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UN) in March 2021. Chef Vikas Khanna makes the simplest millet cookies ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first official state visit to the United States. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the recipe for you:
