Basant Panchami Special Besan Barfi Recipe: It is important to eat yellow food on the day of Basant Panchami. Ingredients for making besan barfi-
- Besan- 1 bowl, slightly coarse besan flour .
- Ghee - Half a bowl
- Milk - 4 tbsp
- Cardamom - 4 crushed
- Grated Coconut- for decoration
- Sugar to taste
- Pistachios, almonds - 5-5 chopped
- Saffron- 8-10 threads
- Silver leaf for decoration
Recipe for making besan barfi-
- First of all, heat ghee in a pan. Now add melted ghee and milk to the besan and mix it well with your hand.
- Now filter the besan with a thick strainer add ghee to the pan and roast until brown.
- When you get the aroma of the roasted flour, take it off the flame.
- Now add sugar to make the sugar syrup (chashni) and add enough water to soak the sugar to make the syrup of two-thread consistency.
- Now add saffron strands and roasted besan to the syrup and mix well.
- Now apply ghee on a plate and put the whole mixture on the plate. Put the mixture in the refrigerator to freeze it.
- Sprinkle crushed cardamom, chopped nuts, coconut, and silver leaf.
- When it cools down completely, cut the barfi into the shape of your choice with the help of a knife.
