Anant Ambani and Radhika tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony held at the Jio World Convention Centre, in Mumbai. The wedding, which spanned three days i.e. from July 12 to July 14 saw numerous guests in attendance from all over the world. The long guest list included businessmen, politicians, celebrities from the Indian film industry, musicians, sportspersons and many more. Often referred to as the 'wedding of the century' over social media, Anant Ambani's wedding was indeed something like never before.
ANANT WEARS SHAH JAHAN'S KALGI:
Not just the the bride and groom, but the entire Ambani family was garbed in exquisite designer outfits from the shelves of Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and others for each function. From Nita Ambani's sarees and ghagra to Radhika's lehengas and Anant's sherwani, their outfits spoke elegance and royalty.
For one of the functions Anant even wore an embroidered jacket made up of gold while Radhika completed him with a lehenga embedded with diamonds.
Apart from all that, Anant also chose to wear a significant piece of his mother, Nita Ambani's jewellery. Anant adorned a bazuband, which was originally Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s kalgi, which is a headpiece attached to a turban. As per media reports, that unique ornament is worth Rs. 200 crore and is crafted from antique spinal, ruby and diamonds.
From the flamboyant outfits to their distinctive, quirky jewellery, the billionaire family went overboard this time. The pre-wedding, the sangeet ceremony, the haldi ceremony, the D-day, and Griha Pravesh were done in true Ambani style, where their ornaments worn couldn’t be skipped and people were compelled to stress on it.
ANANT AMBANI'S WATCH AND BROOCH:
Anant Ambani was also seen wearing a Patek Phillepe watch, valued around Rs. 67.5 crores, which captured the attention of a majority of people. Not to forget, Anant Ambani’s obsession for his brooches. The groom wore a diamond brooch with emeralds from Lorraine Schwartz for his pre-wedding at Jamnagar.
He also adorned an elephant brooch crafted with pear-shaped solitaire diamonds for his baraat. Reportedly, the price of the brooch was Rs. 14 crores. He also wore a Panther Emerald brooch that featured a classic Cartier Panther, studded with diamonds and a 720-carat Zambian emerald.
