Indian cuisine has grown in popularity among people all over the world. Celebrities and well-known people are frequently seen trying out various dishes from the cuisine. Pink, an American singer-songwriter, is the most recent addition to this group. While in Birmingham for her Summer Carnival tour, she made it a point to take a break from her hectic schedule and sample some delectable Indian cuisine. Pink dined at Asha's in the United Kingdom and sampled some delectable naan and chicken curry. Surprisingly, this was the same Indian restaurant that Tom Cruise visited in 2021.
Pink stopped by Asha's restaurant in Birmingham on Monday night before her show. According to Birmingham Live, she dined on samosas and mushroom kurkure in the Indian restaurant's appetiser section. She tried the Chettinad Chicken and Chicken Dhaba curry with naan for the main course. The American singer-songwriter was so taken with her meal that she mentioned it during a live performance. "I had the best Indian food of my life last night," Pink told concertgoers.
A number of photos from Pink's visit to Asha's have also emerged online. "When the stars come to #Birmingham... They head to Asha's. It was a pleasure to welcome Pink ahead of her sell-out show this evening at Villa Park," read the tweet by the official handle. Further, the Indian restaurant in the UK has created a new cocktail to pay the American singer a befitting tribute. "In honour of P!NK's visit, our expert mixologists created a new Gin-based cocktail, but it's yet to be named," Asha's official Twitter account wrote.
Birmingham appears to have a number of interesting Indian eateries frequented by celebrity guests. In April 2023, Prince William and Kate visited a city Indian restaurant to make parathas. To the internet's surprise, they accepted guest reservations.
