Chennai: A woman's suicide bid was foiled by a wasp attack which forced her to jump off a mobile tower onto a net spread out by the fire personnel in Kayamkulam on Monday. 


According to a report on Mathrubhumi, a 23-year-old woman from Tamil Nadu arrived at the BSNL office and requested the officials for permission to use the toilet at 5 pm on Monday. Once the officials permitted her to use the washroom, she went upstairs and climbed on a mobile tower. She also carried a petrol can and a lighter. 


Upon reaching the top of the tower, the woman threatened that she would kill herself since her husband took away their only child. The BSNL staff immediately alerted the police and fire personnel. 


The fire personnel rushed to the sport and spread a net.

In the meantime, the woman was stung by wasps and suddenly in pain, she jumped over the net spread by the officials. 


The woman was taken to taluk hospital for treatment.

Recently, the woman reportedly arrived at her sister's home along with her child after quarreling with her husband. However, the man arrived at her sister's place, beat her and took away their child. 


The woman said that she gave a complaint to the police but no action was taken against the culprit, as per a report on Manorama. 


On Monday, while the woman came to visit her friend at her home in Puthupally Kunnam near Kayamkulam, she came to the BSNL office and tried to execute the suicide plan.
