Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a roadshow in Kerala's Palakkad on Tuesday morning in a bid to garner support for the NDA candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024.

PM Modi stood on an open-roof vehicle adorned with lavish floral decorations. He commenced the roadshow around 10:45 am from Kottamaidan Anchuvilakku making his way towards the Head Post Office in the town. Arriving via helicopter from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Modi was accompanied by BJP state president K Surendran and NDA candidates C Krishnakumar and Niveditha Subramanian, contesting from the Palakkad and Ponnani constituencies, respectively.
Despite the intense heat, thousands of people, including BJP supporters bearing flowers, garlands, party flags, placards of Modi and donning party hats, lined both sides of the approximately one-kilometer roadshow route.
As the procession advanced along the route, enthusiastic chants of 'Modi', 'Bharat mata ki jai', 'Modiji swagatam', and 'Modi ki jai' resonated from the gathered crowds on both sides of the road. The roadshow covered approximately one-kilometer route in about half an hour, following which the PM promptly made his way back to the helipad.
The Tuesday road show comes just days after Modi participated in a public rally in Pathanamthitta town on March 15, where he rallied support for NDA candidates contesting in the southern Kerala constituencies.
Addressing the gathering in Pathanamthitta, Modi asserted that "the Lotus is blooming in Kerala" for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He also targeted the ruling Left and the opposition Congress-led UDF, alleging that the people of the state have endured hardship under governments plagued by corruption and incompetence.
