Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed profound astonishment at the purported statement made by H D Deve Gowda that the CPI(M) leader supported a potential alliance between JD(S) and BJP in Karnataka on Friday. Dismissing the claims as a "delusional fantasy," Vijayan emphasized that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has remained resolute in its opposition to the Sangh Parivar, leaving no room for ambiguity. However, the statement of JD(S) supremo resulted in a political row in Kerala.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan said, "I am absolutely astonished by H D Deve Gowda's recent statement! The mere notion that I would even entertain the idea of supporting a JDS-BJP alliance is nothing short of a delusional fantasy. It is utterly disgraceful for a seasoned politician like Deve Gowda to make such unfounded lies."
"@cpimspeak has been an unwavering and unyielding force in the battle against the Sangh Parivar. There is no room for ambiguity in our stance," he said.

On the controversy, CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said that they have seen the kind of "secularism" JD(S) has.
"He (JDS chief HD Deve Gowda) always said to me that his is the only party that has the word 'secular' in its name. So, how can we join hands with the BJP? But, now we have seen what kind of secularism they (JDS) have," he said.

Earlier, Deve Gowda, as per PTI, said, "In Kerala, we are part of the government and our MLA is a minister there. These units understood the situation that made us to go with the BJP and supported our move."
"Kerala's Left government's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has given full concurrence to move forward in Karnataka with the BJP to save the party. This is the position," Gowda claimed.
