New Delhi: Congress workers staged protest against the raids conducted by ACB at the properties related to Congress MLA BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan including his residence. One of Zameer Khan's supporters went to the extent of trying to set himself ablaze by pouring kerosene while protesting against the raids.
Karnataka ACB carried out raids at five different locations of the properties of the Congress leader in Bengaluru early on Tuesday. The searches were carried out at Zameer's residence near the Cantonment Railway Station, a flat in Silver Oak Apartments, a guest house at Sadashivanagar, GK Associates office at Banashankari and the National Travels office in Kalasipalya, PTI reported.

"The ACB teams are verifying the documents and the investigation is on," said the ACB officials, as reported earlier on Tuesday. Multiple teams of the ACB arrived at five locations of Zameer Khan, who served as food and civil supplies minister in HD Kumaraswamy's cabinet for over a year and was a four-time MLA.
Earlier, last year Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided Zameer Khan and another former Minister R Roshan Baig's residence, allegedly in connection with the IMA Ponzi scam worth Rs 4,000 crore. In this case, Khan had earlier appeared several times before ED.
