After the blast at Rameshwaram cafe shook the entire nation on Friday, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Sunday asked opposition to cooperate with the probe and refrain from doing politics over such issue. Highlighting the link with Mengaluru blast, Parameshwara stated that the technique and materials used for the blast at Rameshwaram Cafe were similar, however, no connection has been established yet.

“We do not know if there is any connection with the Mangaluru blast. They have used a similar material and the same system technically. NSG arrived here on Saturday. We will definitely find the person,” he said.

Parameshwara further stated that the BJP should avoid issuing disparaging remarks over the incident. Speaking with ANI, the minister stated: “Eight teams have been formed and all are working in different directions and looking at different aspects. We have collected several CCTV footage. We are examining every angle including if there is any jealousy factor.”

On the other hand, Deputy CM Shivkumar lashed out at BJP on "doing politics and spoliling Bengaluru's image" over Bengaluru blast.

On BJP demanding Karnataka CM's resignation, he stated: "They want resignation? We will send them whatever resignation they want. They are just doing politics and spoiling the image of Bengaluru. What all has happened in Karnataka during their times, they should see the mirror. If they are hurting Karnataka, they are hurting the country and themselves," he stated.

Slamming BJP over giving political spin to the issue, he stated: "It is a shame that BJP has forgotten what happened during their time, I don't like to do politics on such an issue. Let them do whatever politics they are doing. They are spoiling the honour of the state. In such a context, we should be aware of the unity and peace of the people of this country."
