After Karnataka BJP on its official X handle claimed that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) probe stated that the "Pro-Pakistan" slogans were raised in the Vidhan Soudha, Karnataka Minister and senior Congress leader Priyank Kharge on Monday questioned the authenticity of the private agency's investigation, and stated that the "report is inconclusive," news agency ANI reported.
Kharge questioned BJP over giving the investigation to a private company. Speaking with ANI, he stated: "How can an RSS-backed foundation give a private company this job? Who are they to give this job to them? It is such a serious issue? They should be a little more serious about this...Why is it that the Samwad Foundation is so interested in this and why is BJP dancing to the tunes of that Samwad Foundation? What connection do they have with the foundation and what is the footage they have given to the private forensic lab?"
Calling the report "inconclusive", Kharge said: "This is purely to benefit BJP. We will take the decision as per the law. As far as I know, we are examining multiple footage."
Earlier today, BJP Karnataka shared the report on its official X handle, claiming that it was from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). “To the limited extent of the question in this case, being whether it was ‘Nasir Saab Zindabad’ or ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, the above analysis indicates that it is highly probable to be ‘Pakistan Zindabad’," the report shared by the BJP reads.
However, FSL authorities have so far not reacted on this.
Meanwhile, when questioned about the FSL Report on the alleged pro-Pakistan slogans, state Deputy CM DK Shivakumar stated: "I don't know. I'll check it up and let you know."
On the FSL's report, Karnataka Minister MB Patil said: "Let the investigation be done. Whatever the FSL report comes out with and if it's proven we'll take stringent action against them as per law. Anti-national elements who raised pro-Pakistan slogans don't need to be in India they should go to Pakistan."
