The recent development comes after two more survivors also came out and gave a case against the seer Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru on Thursday.

Earlier, Karnataka police arrested Murgha Mutt seer Shivamurthy in September for sexually assaulting children. After a complaint from Child Welfare Committee, Shivamurthy was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
During the arrest, the complainant said that there could be 5-6 more victims in the case.
Earlier, the local court rejected the bail petition of the accused five times.
Meanwhile, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, an influential Lingayat leader, defended the seer. He also said that there was a conspiracy against the seer since miscreants want to destroy his reputation.
Following this, Yediyurappa received criticism from the public and women's rights groups for trying to paint the seer in a positive light even before he was questioned in the case.
