New Delhi: Karnataka Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri on Monday took a strong exception to Congress MLAs for taking anti-RSS slogans in the well of the House.
"RSS a nationalist org involved in organizing Hindu society to make country strong; should join hands with RSS in its efforts. You're shouting anti-RSS slogans in Assembly that have no relevance to your political discourse. Won't allow using Assembly to shout such slogans," Kageri was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Congress in a protest against Eshwarappa's "saffron flag" comment, demanded the Assembly Speaker for removal of the minister over his controversial remarks about replacing the national flag with saffron one. Congress demanded that the minister be slapped with sedition charges for his remarks about the national flag.
JP Nadda rebukes Eswarappa for his comment
Amid political tensions prevailing in Karnataka due to the ongoing hijab controversy and the recent Bajrang Dal activist murder, BJP national president JP Nadda on Tuesday said that he had rebuked Eashwarappa for his 'saffron flag' remark.
"I called Eshwarappa and ticked him off for his comments on the saffron flag," Nadda was quoted as saying by India Today. Earlier, the Karnataka Minister said that the saffron flag may replace the Tricolour on top of Red Fort in the future, which has caused a massive stir and led to a severe political slugfest in the state.
