The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is intensifying efforts to recover a crucial mobile phone allegedly used by arrested JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, the prime accused in the high-profile sex videos case. The phone is believed to contain recordings of the alleged sexual acts and assaults on his victims.

Prajwal Revanna, grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, has been uncooperative with investigators, refusing to provide information or answer questions, according to sources, as quoted by a report on IANS. The recovery of this mobile phone has become the primary focus of the investigation as it could provide pivotal evidence in the case.

Despite two days of questioning, Revanna has maintained his silence, asserting his innocence and claiming that the scandal is a political conspiracy against him. "Prajwal has been non-cooperative throughout the probe since his arrest. He is claiming that the scandal is a political conspiracy against him and that he will answer questions only after consulting his lawyer," sources revealed.

The SIT plans to collect and send Prajwal Revanna's voice samples to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to match them with the voices in the videos. However, Revanna has consistently denied any connection to the sex videos, insisting that the investigators proceed with their probe as they see fit, as per the report.

Adding complexity to the investigation, it has come to light that Revanna had lodged a complaint on March 29, 2023, through his Personal Assistant Bharat Raj, reporting a missing mobile phone in Hassan. Sources indicate that the original device might be in the possession of Revanna's former driver, Karthik Gowda.

The SIT is actively pursuing leads to locate Karthik Gowda and retrieve the phone, which could be a turning point in the investigation.
