After receiving the report, Siddaramaiah said, "We don't know what is in the report. The government has received the report, it will be placed before the Cabinet, and will be discussed and decided there."

The report comprises suggestions put forth by the commission regarding reservation in education and public employment, along with targeted programs aimed at addressing the needs of underprivileged communities, according to a report on The Hindu.

However, certain Congress Ministers and MLAs, particularly from the Veerashaiva-Lingayat community, voiced their concerns. Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar highlighted that during the survey, numerous households were not taken into account. Additionally, she pointed out that within Veerashaiva-Lingayats, there are 103 sub-castes and individuals recorded their castes independently in the survey leading to a call for a new and more scientific conduct of survey.
