The party announced on Wednesday that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address a rally in Mangaluru on Thursday. Tending to reporters, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal expressed that people in Karnataka have chosen to carry the Congress to power with an absolute majority. The BJP is in a pathetic condition after their 'misgovernance' over the most recent four years, he claimed.


He guaranteed that the BJP came to influence through horse-trading the state and later indulged in corrupt deals to bring in cash because of which people named their term as 40% commission government.


In the meantime, Congress candidate Vinay Kumar Sorake stated in Udupi that Rahul Gandhi will meet with fishermen on Thursday at Uchila.


He stated that the event will take place in the Shalini G Shanker Auditorium of the Uchila Mahalakshmi temple.


Rahul To Visit Udup


Udupi district Congress committee president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor announced on Friday that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Udupi on April 27 for the Karnataka election campaign ahead of the May 10 elections to the state assembly, reported PTI.


He told reporters that Gandhi would speak to the fishermen in the district of Uchila on April 27 to learn about their problems and hardships. D K Shivakumar, president of the Karnataka PCC, will also be in the Udupi district on April 23 and 24, he announced.


Prim Minister Narendra Modi is supposed to show up in Udupi on May 4 as a component of the decision BJP's vivacious political race, as per BJP sources.


On March 29, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced the poll schedule for the election of the 224-member Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The state will go to polls on May 10 and the votes will be counted on May 13. 


Voting for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly elections is scheduled on May 10 and the results will be declared three days later.
