BJP President JP Nadda lauded PM Modi as he addressed professionals and intellectuals at poll-bound Karnataka's Chikkamagaluru district and said it was under PM Modi's leadership that India emerged as one of the strongest economies in the world when others were collapsing in the post-Covid world and in the wake of the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

He said, "World economies are collapsing in post covid era and the Ukraine-Russia conflict has only added problems to their kitty. But you will be happy to know that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has emerged as one of the strongest economies in the world."

"Tough decisions by PM Modi during the covid-era have led to an emergence of a stronger economy. Several countries handed out freebies to their people but PM Modi’s said that we believe in the empowerment of the people of the country and not in individual development," he added.

Taking a jibe at the Congress, Nadda said, "Have you ever seen any congress leader coming out to the public about his achievements and his future planning for his/her constituency? It is only leaders from BJP who are responsible toward people and fulfill what they promise."

Speaking about how different sectors were empowered through fresh funding, he said, "MSMEs, the agriculture sector, and footpath vendors were empowered through fresh funding and it resulted in the strengthening of the economy which has picked up after Covid-19." He also added that the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana 'masterstroke' ensured nobody went hungry which helped reduce extreme poverty to less than 1 per cent.

"We have ensured inclusive development for all by taking care of all sections through our schemes and budgetary allocations," he said.
