Days after it was reported that a rift erupted in the Karnataka Congress over ticket distribution Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar Wednesday clarified that the entire Congress is united and they are one. He further asserted that Congress will win upcoming Assembly election.

Speaking to the media, Shivakumar said, "We don't have any rift. Entire Congress is united. We're one. We'll win the election. The people of Karnataka want to throw out BJP Govt - most corrupt Govt in this country. You'll all witness this."

These comments come days after he said it's not Siddaramaiah who will decide the tickets but the party high command will decide the tickets. Although another Congress leader from the state MB Patil tried to mend by saying, "Siddaramaiah will also be a part of the decision-making process."

Earlier on Tuesday, Shivakumar questioned the ruling BJP in Karnataka about the deletion of 27 lakh names from the voter's list. There are multiple legal issues regarding the voters list scam. There is no provision for anyone to get the details of voters, he further said.

The state has 8,250 election booths. One person has to be deputed for every booth for investigation. Reacting to the confession of arrested persons in connection with the scandal that they have done it under pressure, he maintained that he doesn't know anything about it. They should come out and say which officer or politician pressurised them, Shivakumar asserted.
