After a complaint by BJP at Vidhana Soudha Police Station in Karnataka alleging that supporters of Rajya Sabha member Syed Nasir Hussain raised pro-Pakistan slogans after his victory announcement, Karnataka Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao stated that if such an incident occurred strict action should be taken. The BJP's complaint stated that after Hussain's victory was declared by the returning officer, some of Syed Nasir Hussain's supporters gathered at Vidhana Soudha and allegedly shouted slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad" in celebration.


Regarding a complaint filed by Karnataka BJP against Syed Naseer Hussain and his supporters for allegedly raising pro-Pakistan slogan at Vidhana Soudha, Karnataka Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said, "If any such incident has taken place definitely strict action needs to be taken. There is no question of anybody supporting something like this...we have no clue just because there is a sort of video...BJP is making this an extreme issue. Nobody will support such a thing. if something like that has happened, we will take strict action..."

Rajya Sabha member Syed Nasir Hussain took to his social media account to clarify that some of his supporters chanted slogans such as 'Nasir Hussain Zindabad', 'Nasir Sahab Zindabad' and ‘Congress Party Zindabad’, according to a report on Hindustan Times.














In response to the clarification provided by the Congress MP, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi called upon the top authorities within the Congress party to take decisive actions against the newly elected Rajya Sabha MP.
