In a startling turn of events, a couple from Bengaluru experienced an unexpected 'surprise' upon receiving their latest Amazon delivery. The package, which was supposed to contain an Xbox controller, instead housed a dangerous guest—a spectacled cobra—along with the package.

A family, who resides on Sarjapur Road, ordered the gaming accessory. The family was anticipating the arrival of the package, which was delivered promptly by Amazon’s courier service. However, their excitement quickly turned into fear when they noticed the slithering presence stuck to the packaging tape.

The spectacled cobra, also known as the Indian cobra (Naja naja), is a venomous snake predominantly found in the Indian subcontinent.

The venom of the spectacled cobra is a potent neurotoxin that can impair the respiratory system, leading to paralysis or even death if left untreated.

However, the Indian Cobra holds significant cultural importance, being associated with various deities in Hindu mythology and frequently depicted in traditional art and folklore. Although the species has been commonly used by snake charmers in India, this practice is now illegal due to concerns over animal welfare.
