A speeding car hit a bike rider and school girls in Karnataka's Raichur district and the CCTV video of the incident has surfaced on social media. The car collided with a bike while the biker was apparently taking a U-turn and then the vehicle ran over school girls, flinging two of them in the air. Additional Director General of Police, Traffic & Road Safety Alok Kumar said that he has directed the concerned officials to take immediate legal action against Motor cycle rider as well as the car driver. Driver's License suspension for both of them is also recommended, he informed.


The hit-and-run accident took place near Raghavendra petrol station in Karnataka's Raichur, according to a report by India Today. The CCTV video footage was captured on Thursday (July 18), it further mentioned.






The video shows the car hitting the motorcycle as the rider attempted a sudden U-turn. The rider is thrown into the air and the speeding car continues ahead, hitting two school-going girls who are flung into the air.


Karnataka's Additional Director General of Police, Traffic & Road Safety Alok Kumar responded to the CCTV video of the incident writing:  "Have directed the concerned to take immediate legal action against Motor cycle rider as well as  the car driver. DL suspension for both of them is also recommended. Unfortunate incident causing injuries to hapless school girls."
