Chennai: 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi ahead of Lok Sabha Polls 2024 entered poll-bound Karnataka on Friday. The yatra which was organised in Kerala, entered Tamil Nadu's Gudalur district for a day and traversed into Karnataka. 


According to a report on PTI, the yatra will cross 7 districts and cover 500 km in Karnataka. The yatra will cover Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Mandya, Chitradurga, Ballari, Raichur and Tumakuru.

The yatra will pass through 22 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka. The Assembly elections are scheduled in Karnataka six months from now. 


The Congress has also planned for a public meet in Gundlupet, Mysuru and Ballari.

On Friday, Rahul Gandhi started padyatra from Ooty-Calicut juction on Friday at 9.35 am. He halted at Lord Shaneshwara temple in Panjanahalli at 10.35 pm.


In the evening, Rahul Gandhi will resume his yatra at Bendagalli Village Gate. He will halt at Begur Bus Stop at 7 pm. He will stay at Begur Village Ground near Government High School Gundlupet. 






In a post, Rahul Gandhi said, "Greetings to Karnataka - the land of the great Guru Basavanna, whose teachings of building an inclusive society is the guiding light of #BharatJodoYatra. We have come to listen to you. This Yatra is the voice of the people of Karnataka."
