The Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru raided an alleged rave party on Sunday and seized ecstasy pills, cocaine, and other drugs, sources in the force said on Monday.


Acting on a tip-off, the CCB conducted a raid at a farmhouse near Electronic City in the early hours of Sunday, PTI quoted the sources as saying. Five people have been arrested in connection with the case, an IANS report said, adding that the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) and various sections of the IPC have been invoked in the FIR against them.


The police, the IANS report said, "recovered 15.56 grams of MDMA, 6.2 grams of cocaine, 6 grams of hydro ganja, five mobiles and two vehicles from the accused persons".

The rave party, allegedly held under the guise of a birthday celebration by a Hyderabad-based man identified as Vasu, is believed to have taken place at G.M. Farmhouse in the Singena Agrahara area. The party is estimated to have had over 100 attendees from Bengaluru as well as Karnataka's neighbour state Andhra Pradesh. The participants reportedly included DJs, models, actors, and tech professionals.


More than 25 young women were reportedly part of the event. IANS reported that the he blood samples of all participants were taken and sent for tests to determine if they had consumed drugs. 


Luxury Cars At Rave Party


The event was reportedly scheduled to be held from 5 pm on May 18 to 6 am on May 19. The raid took place around 2 am. 





PTI reported that a pass belonging to an MLA from Andhra Pradesh was found in a car parked at the venue. "Additionally, more than 15 luxury cars were also parked on the premises," the report added.





The cost of the party was estimated at "Rs 50 lakh per day", sources told PTI.
