Chennai: After heavy rainfall continued to pound Bengaluru for the second consecutive day on Monday, the normal life of people was thrown out of gear due to waterlogging and traffic snarls in the tech capital of India. The visuals emerging from Bengaluru showed techies leaving to office in tractors due to water inundation. The flight services were also hit due to prevailing weather conditions on Tuesday.
According to a report on ANI, several IT employees were forced to use tractors to reach their offices in Yemalur area of Bengaluru on Monday. On Tuesday, the waterlogging and traffic snarls continued at the outer ring road of Marathahalli-Silk Board Road in Bengaluru.

Talking about water logging in basement shops, a local said, "It happens whenever it rains. It has been raining heavily this year. Those who have shops in basements are in trouble".
Meanwhile, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (KIAL) airport's spokesperson told ANI, "Flights slightly delayed today after heavy rain and due to weather conditions."
The electricity and drinking water supply is also hit.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert till September 7 for Bengaluru. The IMD has also forecast that rainfall will continue in Bengaluru on Tuesday. A yellow alert has been issued to Bengaluru rural, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagalur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hassan, Kolar, Ramnagar, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Tumakuru districts.
The predictions have created a grim situation in the already flooded IT hub.
