A video has surfaced on social media showing a security personnel at a metro station in Bengaluru allegedly engaging in inappropriate behaviour by touching his private parts and masturbating in the presence of passengers, as reported by NDTV. The man had a particular focus on a female traveller.

The incident occurred on the Jalahalli Metro station platform. The woman was deeply affected by the incident, and she shared the details of the incident on social media. She demanded accountability from the Bengaluru police.

“Today I had an experience where a security guard was continuously staring at me simultaneously making some gestures such as keeping hands on his private parts from the opposite side of the platform. It happened around 2:30 in noon. This happened in Jalahalli metro station,” the woman wrote in her complaint, as quoted by NDTV. “I was so uncomfortable during the daytime itself. And I tried asking him but still he kept staring at me by making some gestures. So I started taking a video,” she further stated.

The woman shared the video with the Bengaluru metro authorities and urged them to take strict action against the man. She further claimed that her complaints went unanswered by the metro authorities. According to NDTV, the Bengaluru Police acknowledged the seriousness of the matter and launched an investigation into the matter.

“The man is squint-eyed. The authorities have been notified, and appropriate action will be taken against him,” Yashwant Chavan, spokesperson for the Bengaluru Metro, was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) took to social media platform X and said, "In response to the Jalahalli incident complaint , the said security guard is placed under suspension pending detailed investigation. Any action detrimental to  safety and security of women passengers,  BMRCL has a zero tolerance policy. FKI".
