Gujarat (Surat), Aug. 4 (ANI): Swine flu has claimed the lives of six people so far in Surat.

Surat Municipal Corporation Deputy Health Commissioner, Hemant Desai informed that till now 41 positive cases of swine flu has been reported in the city

Speaking to ANI here, Desai said, "Many new patients have been reported in the city. Currently 28 patients are under treatment in hospital of which seven are on ventilator. Till now 41 positive cases of swine flu has been reported in the city."

As swine flu cases are on rise, the Deputy Health Commissioner informed that the Surat Municipal Corporation workers have started their treatment to cure the disease.

"All hospitals across the city have been put on high alert. The isolation wards have been set up in the private hospitals as well as the civil hospitals," he added. (ANI)
