New Delhi [India], Aug 31 (ANI): Former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and bureaucrat Sunil Arora on Thursday appointed the Election Commissioner in the Election Commission.
Arora's appointment will be effective from the day he assumes charge, the law ministry notification said.
Arora, a 1980 batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, also served as information and broadcasting secretary and secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
Nasim Zaidi will retire as Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) in July following which there will be vacancy in the Election Commission. (ANI)
