Dewas (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Nov. 6 (ANI): After the body of a 12-year old girl was found in a farm on Sunday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dewas confirmed that the minor was sexually assaulted by the perpetrators before being murdered.
"Postmortem reports have established that the girl was sexually assaulted before being murdered. A case has been registered under Sections 376 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the matter is being investigated," Dewas SP Anshuman Singh told ANI.
In a shocking incident which came to light yesterday, the body of a 12-year old girl was found in a farm with her legs tied up and cloth stuffed into her mouth, following which witnesses raised alarm and demanded postmortem to ascertain the cause of death.
The minor, a native of Sundrel village in Kantaphod district, was reportedly missing since Friday. Upon recovering the body of the victim, locals alarmed the authorities, who then began postmortem procedures, the reports of which confirmed sexual assault and subsequent murder.
