Udaipur (Rajasthan) [India], August 29 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday was received by Governor Kalyan Singh and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje even as he arrived in Rajasthan's Udaipur.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several important highway projects here. The total expenditure on these projects is estimated to be over Rs. 15,000 crore.

"Tomorrow I will be visiting Rajasthan, the land of the brave, where I will inaugurate and lay the foundation of key National Highway projects," Prime Minister Modi had tweeted.

The projects to be inaugurated are: six-lane Cable Stayed Bridge across river Chambal at Kota, four laning of Gomati Chauraha - Udaipur section of NH-8 and four-laning of the Rajsamand-Bhilwara section of NH-758.

The Jaipur Ring Road is among the major projects for which the foundation stone is to be laid.

Prime Minister Modi will also address a public meeting in Udaipur.

"I will address a public meeting in Udaipur. I will also visit the Pratap Gaurav Kendra and pay my respects to the great Maharana Pratap", he further tweeted.

Prime Minister Modi will later visit Udaipur's Pratap Gaurav Kendra. The Kendra provides information through various exhibits, about the life, valour and achievements of famous King of the erstwhile kingdom of Mewar, Maharana Pratap. (ANI)
