No FIR filed against Yeddyurappa, Ananth Kumar, clarifies ACB
New Delhi [India], Oct. 8 (ANI): The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday clarified that no FIR has been filed against Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief B.S. Yeddyurappa and Union Minister for Fertiliser and Chemical Ananth Kumar in the leaked video matter.
The ACB has also stated that the case is with the cybercrime unit.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that an FIR was filed against Yeddyurappa and Kumar on the basis of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report in which the lab cleared the voice of both the leaders in a leaked video where they spoke about money transaction done by local political leaders to their high commands.
Yeddyurappa had told ANI that the ACB is doing it on purpose and added that the bureau has become an agent of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
"ACB is doing this intentionally because Siddaramaiah has bent it. He has failed to get Ananth Kumar and me. We are ready to face the ACB with such baseless allegations. ACB has become a 'pakka' agent to the Chief Minister," he added.
In the video clip, there is a purported conversation between Yeddyurappa and Kumar in which the two can be seen deliberating on how to politically use allegations made against Siddaramaiah that he paid Rs. 1,000 crore to the Congress high command to stay in power. (ANI)
