Amravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Sept 15 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh on Friday reiterated his desire to make the state an Information Technology hub in the state and generate employment.

While speaking to the media in Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, Lokesh said, "The state is searching for advanced IT and other technologies which can offer ample scope for employment generation. "

While speaking about the Fintech Valley in Vishakapatnam and the two-day business conference on blockchain technology which is scheduled for October, he said, "After the bifurcation, Hyderabad with 99.5% of IT exports remained in Telangana, only 0.5% of IT export market left for Andhra Pradesh. In order to attract new gen IT industry, Andhra Pradesh govt has built Fintech Valley in Visakhapatnam. Its aim is to bring together industry, academia and investors to innovate, co create and build an eco system. "

Lokesh also took the occasion to thank the Union Government for giving approval to set up the Centre of Excellence for Internet of Things (IoT) in the state.

Andhra Pradesh government will hold a two-day long international business conference on blockchain technology at Visakhapatnam on 9th and 10th of October.

Blockchain is a fast growing cutting edge technology in providing cyber security. (ANI)
