In a first, BJP to hold state executive meet in Srinagar, says Jitendra Singh

New Delhi [India], October 28 (ANI): Minister of State for Prime Minister Office (MoS, PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh on Saturday informed that the state executive meet of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be held in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar for the first time.

Jitendra further said that it will be milestone for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking to ANI, Jitendra said: "For the first time, BJP's state executive meeting will be held in Srinagar next. It's a milestone."

The BJP is hoping that it will help in strengthening its base in the troubled Kashmir valley and also aims to improve the situation in the strife-torn region.

The announcement of the meeting came just after the government expressed desire to hold sustainable talks with all stakeholders of the valley and appointed former Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Dineshwar Sharma as Centre's 'special representative' for the same. (ANI)
