New Delhi [India] October 25(ANI): Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) team and Gurgaon police on Tuesday rescued a married woman, confined in her parents' house for six months.
The woman told DCW that she married her husband against parents' will and lived together for 14 months in Haryana.
During this period, she was forced by her parents to return home and end the marriage.
After 14 months, the woman's parents forcibly brought her, along with her one-year-old son home, and also did not allow her to return back to her husband.
She also confessed that her parents threatened to kill her, along with the child, if she demands to return back to her husband.
The husband, with the help of his friends, reported the incident to the Delhi Commission for Women.
The chairperson of DCW, Swati Jaihind, sent a rescue team to help Rajni and unite her with her husband.
Jaihind also appealed the citizens to report such cases to DCW for speedy action and to help women or girls who are suffering.(ANI)
